FAQ

-Detection range 5m and sensitivity is NOT adjustable. Due to microwave sensor high sensitivity it can penetrate wall, wood door and glass to start fan if movement detection within 5m. This function is more suitable for house but not apartment. In small space in apartment the fan maybe triggered by neighbors. Microwave sensor can detect any movements not only from humans.

Do not install fan on metal material, as it will shield microwave detect signal and cause the sensor function failure.

-When connecting fan, real-time T ℃ and H % data shown in error.

Please have a trial of CUT OFF supply power and reconnect again to clear cache.

If problem still exists, CUT OFF supply power, DRY the white cover over T°C & RH% Module for seconds, and reconnect supply power again, for details you can check manual Malfunction and Solution part or inquiry us directly.

!!! Attention: This T°C & RH% Module not suitable for continuous high humidity level circumstances(ca 90%), frequent condensation will lead to humidity sensor malfunction.

-To guarantee Nova100 normal operation, 24h continuous supply power is necessary for below reasons

1.It reduces water condensation possibility on T℃ & H% module.

2.When with supply power reconnect again, fan will start in high speed mode automatically, timer delay 1min, afterwards you have to RESET FAN! We have designed ON/OFF button in app click ON/OFF button to eliminate left timer delay high speed working status to set fan immediately.

-To simplify wiring, ON/OFF button we designed in Smart Life works as switch function, only L line and N line to supply power is okay, extra manual switch is unnecessary.

-If no Wi-Fi, please use second phone personal hotspot to connect Nova100 first, then control fan only with bluetooth.

-If you find that the PCB indicator light not blink the first time you  connect, 

Please connect a switch and turn on/off 5 times within 5 seconds, the fan will reset.

-Generally WiFi signal strength in bathroom is much weaker than other space, to avoid possible dissatisfaction it is better to use signal strength measurement app (such as Wifiman) to test onsite signal strength first before purchase, only above-70 dBm ensure the fan connection and continuous monitor run smoothly. After installation if fan shows offline frequently please click APP top right ✎ edit page →Device Information→Signal Strength→Reference to check if WiFi signal poor or not.

Some clients think fan is defective when find that fan keeps working no matter how change settings. Please check your standby mode setting, it means fan status when not triggered by two sensors. For example, when set in high speed, it keeps working in high speed all the time.

To start using it, you only need to connect one phase wire and one neutral wire.

With app control, you can easily adjust the fan speed, humidity level, and timer delay settings anytime and anywhere.

At the same time, room temperature (℃) and humidity level (%) can be continuously monitored in real-time over 24 hours.

All various functions in one fan:

- There are three waiting mode options: stop, low speed, high speed.

- The humidity sensor and motion sensor can be turned on or off at your discretion.

- The humidity level can be adjusted from 40% to 100%.

- The motion sensor detects movement at a distance of about 5 meters.

- The timer delay setting can be adjustable from 1 to 60 minutes.

All fans are equipped with ball bearing motors with thermal protection and an ABS backdraft damper suitable for wall/window installation. If you want to install it on the ceiling, make sure to remove the ABS backdraft damper. In addition, we have also included a PET replaceable backdraft damper in the set, which is suitable for wall, window, or ceiling mounting.

Before connecting your device, ensure that the 5G frequency range of your router is turned off, and use Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz to connect the fan. When setting up the fan, do not use WLAN repeaters or VPN/proxy services. Also, make sure you enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
